In this series of nine pen and ink drawings, I explore the profound themes of the Original vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra, a text deeply rooted in Buddhist philosophy. Inspired by the intricate etching techniques of Albrecht Dürer, each drawing serves as a visual meditation on the vivid depictions of hell presented in the sutra.

The Ksitigarbha Sutra emphasizes the importance of compassion and the potential for redemption, even in the darkest realms. Through my artwork, I aim to bring these haunting scenes to life, inviting viewers to reflect on the nature of suffering and the possibility of spiritual awakening.
